Welcome to MyScottsville.com!  This website was setup because a need was seen for members of our community to be able to find businesses, clubs, events, classifieds, and people in our community.  We also wanted to be able to help "put Scottsville, KY on the map"!  Be sure to tell your friends about the website!

Anyone can become a member of the website, but only businesses and organizations located within a 50 mile radius of Scottsville, KY can be listed in our Local Business Directory, post free classifieds, and add events to the Community Calendar FREE of charge.  If you are a member of the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber, your business directory  listing is FREE, as a benefit of membership.  Non-Chamber members can add their business listing for only $79.95/year.

Computing Solutions & More and Good Morning America - Posted Friday, July 10,  2008:  Meg & Bob Akins, the owners of Computing Solutions and More in Alvaton, KY, have been contacted by one of their affiliates, CrossLoops Remote desktop services, to be interviewed by a representative of Good Morning America's special features staff, which could lead to participation in a segment that GMA will be doing on CrossLoops, and individuals who operate certain types of businesses that use CrossLoops. Summer 2008 Term for Daymar College starts May 29, 2008 - Posted Friday, May 5,  2008:  Daymar College, Scottsville Campus, will be starting their summer term on May 29th.  Meg Akins, one of the instructors at the college, is the founder of MyScottsville.com.  Meg is teaching Microsoft Outlook and MS Excel classes this term.  In the past, she has also taught MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Access and Desktop Publishing classes at Daymar College.

Daymar College - Scottsville Campus Student's Websites - Posted Thursday, April 3, 2008:  The Desktop Publishing students of Daymar College - Scottsville, Campus are working on their website projects, and we would like to let everyone know what a great job they are doing!  Judy and Virginia are using the knowledge gained in previous classes taken at Daymar College - Keyboarding, MS Word, and MS Powerpoint, along with the Desktop Publishing class they are currently taking, to design and publish websites.  Keep in mind that the websites are currently a "work in progress", which will be completed by May 22, 2008.  Check out Judy's website at www.oldpathchurchofgod.com and Virginia's website at www.quiltsamericasfolklore.com
